[Magic] Arcane Savant: Otto has an innate understanding of magic, the occult, and lore. He can learn new spells at a rate that puts nearly any other sentient being to shame, at the cost of being socially under-developed and somewhat frail of constitution.
[Magic][Item] Heart of Darkness: Otto has had an ancient artifact inserted into his chest cavity, which grants him a large additional reservoir of energy. In addition, the Heart feeds off of death and negative emotions as a means of growing in power. Unfortunately, is is possible for the Heart to begin overloading if exposed to too much stimuli, causing Otto to need a method of expending enough energy to prevent his death. In addition, the Heart is adjacent to his actual heart, and is likely to cause him significant injury or death if removed.
[Magic][Item] Thaumonomicon: Otto's primary spellbook is one he has cobbled together from discoveries during his adventures, and is a mixture of ancient spells and more modernized ones. He records each and every spell he discovers to it, and the book itself can return to it's owner through mysterious means, as long as Otto is alive.

Appearance (At least 50 words):
Otto is about 6'3, and frail in appearance. He dresses almost exclusively in robes of bright colors, often with ancient runes attached through mystical means. His face is without blemish or scar. His hair is black, and his eyes are a piercing ice blue. He tends to give off a distracted air during conversation, which may or not be factual.
Personality (At least 50 words):
Otto is socially under-developed, and has difficulty understanding social cues, turns of phrase, and the odd flirtation sent his way. He is very passionate about his interests, but not about people. He tends not to leave much consideration for the lives of individuals around him, especially while he is hunting. Finishing the job will save far more lives than trying to save a handful would lose, to his calculation. He tends to err on the side of caution, and actively avoids strenuous exercise due to his heart condition. Otto's tendency is to take the most direct or easiest path to his goal, and has occasionally failed in the past.
History (At least 200 words):
Otto Van Helsing is but one of several still-active members of the classical family of monster hunters whom are still roaming the world. Otto was born on the side of a road in Transylvania, of the liaison by his father and his gypsy love. His father, Timo Van Helsing, was a renowned gunslinger, and is still generally disproving of his son's path. Otto's propensities towards magic became evident at an early age, and were fostered by knowledge from his mother and her family. When he came of age, he took to the roads just as his father and his grandfather did before him. His first solo encounter with the supernatural saw him set against a slew of ghosts at Aokigahara Forest, an experience that he still suffers intense nightmares from. Despite his rather rocky beginning, Otto has since slain more than two hundred denizens of the night, dived into ancient burial mounds, crypts, catacombs, and temples. He solved the riddle of steel, and survived encounters with eldritch horrors from beyond mortal understanding. It is almost inevitable that Otto will begin to encounter the newer invaders, in his quest to seek out the old.
Weaknesses:
Otto suffers from Arrhythmia, and anything that accelerates his heart too much could send him into a heart attack. As a related thing of note, Otto cannot run to save his life. Even in case of being trapped in a building fire, at best Otto will shuffle. Another concern is his Heart of Darkness, should it overload.
