Name: The Ebony Moths.
Established: around the year 1500, shortly after Vasco De Gama “discovered” India.
Location(s): A small branch in the U.S.A, and HQ is in India.
A smattering of other places.
Motives: To keep the world in Balance by changing or killing corrupted people in power.
Members: Edgar “Wraith” Blackburn, and Grand Moth. Grand Moth is the head of the Order, and resides in India. He is the wisest of the Moths, but not the most physically imposing. There is also Little Silent Moth, who was Edgar’s teacher in the U.S.A. Total head count of the Moths is 40. 6 are in America, and 10 or more are still stationed in India, and the others are spread out.
History: Being over 450 years old, it has a long history. The Moths first learned their magick from Great Black Moth, who taught his few followers the secrets of magick. This knowledge has been passed down the years. The Ebony Moths have been involved in many shadow wars between Britain and China, over philosophies. The moths purposely do not worm into stations of power, for humility is a must, and thus have not influenced the world much. They have assassinated a few famous people, such as Bahatin Sakir, Peter III of Russia, and recently, Georgi Markov. The rare few who know about the Moths say they were behind the JFK assassination, to which the Moths vehemently deny. Recently, the moths would most likely be trying to protect innocents and hinder Nazir’s plans abroad, beyond Gielinor. But, being as small as 40 head (and dropping; these guys aren’t immortal) they aren’t putting much of a dent in Nazir’s forces.
Other: The Ebony Moths (as a group) will not make many appearances, maybe a phone call or a letter, but rarely in person. They will not interfere with most plots. This app exists more as a formality, to confirm their existence.
